Looksmaxxing is everywhere right now, but what does it actually mean?

The trend is all about trying to optimize appearance, usually through a mix of “soft maxing” like grooming, diet, and fitness… and “hard maxing,” which can include more extreme measures or procedures.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to look your best, but the foundation should always be a healthy lifestyle, good nutrition, exercise, and taking care of yourself.

Hear me out.

When it comes to rib remodeling, more is not better. The ribs that actually influence the waistline are the 10th, 11th, and 12th ribs.

The 11th and 12th ribs create the natural indentation of the lower back, while the 10th rib forms the upper border of the waist. That’s why focusing on these lower three ribs is what truly shapes the waistline.

Going beyond that doesn’t meaningfully change the waist, it only adds unnecessary risk. Understanding anatomy is EVERYTHING.

If you were wondering about rib remodeling, take this as a sign!

When biopolymer is embedded like this, it requires a surgical approach to carefully access and extract the material from within the tissue.

Imaging matters. Technique matters. And understanding the anatomy makes all the difference.

Want to protect your rib remodeling results? The corset is non-negotiable.

After surgery, the ribs are elastic and can shift easily. The corset acts like an external splint by holding everything in position while new bone forms and heals in its new alignment.

We use a structured first-stage corset for the first month, followed by a softer waist trainer for months two and three. Different levels of support, same goal: stability and long-term shape retention.

Surgery creates the change.
Compliance protects it.

Here’s what you need to know about rib remodeling: not all techniques are created equal.

You may have seen procedures online like “Rib X Scar,” where small punctures are made and tools are used to perforate the bone before repositioning it.

The technique I use is superior. I make a very small incision (about 7mm) and use a specialized guarded instrument that allows for a controlled, precise fracture of the rib. That control matters. It allows for safer repositioning and more predictable shaping of the waist.

When it comes to altering structure, precision isn’t optional, it’s everything.

Recovery speed says more about your biological age than your birth date.

How quickly your body resets after stress, whether it’s surgery, a tough workout, or even a cold, is a powerful indicator of what’s happening internally.

If your heart rate stays elevated long after exercise, you’re sore for days, or minor illnesses linger for weeks, those can be signs of underlying chronic inflammation. And chronic inflammation can mean more swelling, bruising, and a longer recovery after surgery.

Optimizing your body before any aesthetic procedure isn’t optional, it’s essential. When your recovery speed is strong, your surgical recovery is smoother.

It’s not just your imagination, chronic inflammation accelerates aging.

There’s even a term for it, “inflammaging.”

Acute inflammation (like after a workout, surgery, or a cold) is normal and healthy. But chronic inflammation is different. Over time, it can break down collagen, impact skin quality, and interfere with how efficiently your cells repair themselves.

That’s why reducing chronic inflammation matters, especially if you’re considering surgery. Supporting your body with quality sleep, regular exercise, and proper nutrition (including omega-3s) helps optimize healing and overall results.

Healthy tissues heal better. And better healing leads to better outcomes.

Another patient feeling free and healthy after biopolymer removal!

So grateful for reviews like this. It’s why I do what I do. Removing harmful substances safely and restoring your body isn’t just surgery, it’s life-changing. 💪

Rib remodeling isn’t just about size, it’s proportion.

I tell every patient it’s about restoring the harmony between your waist and hips, creating that perfect waist-to-hip ratio, and giving you the hourglass figure you’ve always wanted. 🔥

ChatGPT is smart, but it’s not board-certified, it’s not in the OR, and it’s not creating life-changing transformations.

Body contouring is an art. And that still requires hands. đź’Ş
