We’re excited to share that Dr. Louis Tramontozzi and Allison Tobin, Practice Manager, were recently featured in an article by the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) about how North Shore Neurology is using AI to improve the patient experience.

AI is helping us:

Brain health affects us all, and North Shore Neurology is proud to help shape its future. 🧠

Our practice manager, Allison Tobin, and Dr. Tramontozzi, volunteer as members of the AAN Practice, Management, and Technology (PM&T) Subcommittee. This month, they joined colleagues from across the country in Minneapolis for the American Academy of Neurology’s Annual Medical Economics and Practice (MEP) Committee Meeting.

Together, we spent time planning how to:
✅ Growing a diverse neurology workforce
✅ Strengthening neurological practice
✅ Promoting neuroscience research
✅ Improving neurologic health through Brain Health for All

Meet Cooper 🐾
He belongs to Bethany, one of our amazing nurse practitioners—and he’s got a story worth sharing.

Cooper came all the way from the streets of Armenia after an injury left him with a severely damaged front leg. It was removed, and after a few stops in foster homes, he made his way to the U.S. to find his forever family. When he first arrived, he was timid, scared, and struggled to climb stairs.

Fast forward five years, and Cooper is thriving. He’s hiked mountains in California, Arizona, Utah, and Maine. He spends his days chasing squirrels, running trails, and reminding everyone around him that nothing can hold him back. Most people don’t even realize he has just three legs.

Cooper’s journey is a powerful reminder. At North Shore Neurology & EMG, we care for patients facing their own challenges every day. Like Cooper, they adapt, persevere, and live life fully—with strength, determination, and the right support.

Here’s to Cooper, and to all the fighters out there redefining what’s possible. 💪

Meet our Pre-Med Summer Intern, Kaeden Freston! 👋

Kaeden got his start with us through the Tufts Pre-Med Summer Internship, where he gained hands-on clinical experience shadowing Dr. Tramontozzi. After his internship, he stayed on to help schedule new patients remotely—and now he’s back in the office three days a week for the summer!

We’re also excited to welcome three new summer interns at our Beverly and Reading locations. They’ll get a full look at both the clinical and administrative sides of patient care, learning how every part of the practice works together as a team.

This past Thursday, Dr. Tramontozzi had the pleasure of participating in Saugus High School’s annual Shadow Day, welcoming junior Zenera Shahu for a firsthand look at the field of neurology. 🧠✨

In addition to mentoring future healthcare leaders, we’re proud to continue supporting Dr. Tramontozzi’s alma mater through our annual scholarship contribution to Saugus High School. This year’s recipient is Toela Nyah Simlien, who will be pursuing a degree in pre-med. 🎓💙

From shadowing to scholarships, we’re committed to investing in the next generation of medical professionals—and giving back to the community that helped shape us.

🌟 Making Strides for Parkinson’s 🌟

This past Sunday, members of our North Shore Neurology team proudly participated in the 2025 APDA Optimism Walk!

Led by our amazing NP Melissa Diggin, who serves on the APDA board and facilitates Parkinson’s support groups, our team walked in support of Parkinson’s research and care.

💙💚 We’re thrilled to share that Team NSN raised nearly $1,400, contributing to the Walk’s incredible total of almost $180,000 raised! These funds will go directly toward research and vital local PD programs. 💚💙

We’re so proud to be part of a community that walks with purpose and hope. 💪

📣 Welcome Rachel Estes, PA-C!

We’re pleased to welcome Rachel Estes, PA-C to the provider team at North Shore Neurology! Rachel is now seeing patients at our Beverly location and is eager to begin her career helping patients improve their daily quality of life.

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavior from the University of New Hampshire in 2021 and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2025.

📣 Now Seeing Patients in Reading: Welcome Dr. Jane Louie!

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Jane Louie to North Shore Neurology! Dr. Louie is a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty training in Neurophysiology and extensive experience treating a wide range of neurological and sleep disorders. She is now seeing patients at our Reading location.

Dr. Louie completed her medical training at Tufts University School of Medicine, followed by a Neurology Residency at Tufts Medical Center and a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at UMass Chan Medical School. She is triple board certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Sleep Medicine.
