A tree never asks, Who am I to absorb this water into my roots?
Who am I to allow the sunshine to nourish my being?
A tree knows, instinctively, that it needs these resources to thrive and to fulfill its purpose here on earth. It understands that what it needs is vital, and that these resources are abundant and available. By receiving them, it takes nothing away from any other living being.
Why, then, do we as humans struggle to understand the same truth?
Deep down, we do know. It is within us to know what we need. And yet we say things like, I have to take care of everything else before I take care of myself.
I do not deserve that.
I have not earned that pleasure in life.
Someone else does not have that privilege, so who am I to have it?

A tree knows what it needs, and it knows its worth. It knows what it must do in order to contribute to the earth.
Why do we, as humans, so often forget to do the same?
I will tell you who you are...you are someone worthy of greatness and all of the pleasures that this planet has to offer. That is who you are. And it is one of my callings in this lifetime to remind every single human of this.
