Event #146 is in the books. Yes, it was cold, but that did not deter 9 dedicated volunteers from ensuring our event could proceed and our 15 participants could have a great experience on The Eastern Trail. Volunteers are the ones that make parkruns happen and we are so grateful for everyone that rugged up this morning and spent a little time with us. There is space on next week's volunteer roster - if it's been a while since you've volunteered, or maybe you haven't volunteered yet, we'd love to hear from you and welcome your help.
A big welcome to Mike and Maggie who joined us for their first parkrun today! We promise it won't always be so cold!

Following next weekend's event we will be operating a booth at Biddeford's Big Chill Winter fest event. The event will showcase local businesses, arts, music and dancing If you can spare a little time to hang out in the booth and share the good word about parkrun to anyone willing to listen we'd love to have you with us. The event is taking place in the Pepperell Center (40 Main St) from 12 - 5. Please reach out and let us know if you'd like to be involved!

We look forward to returning to The Eastern Trail this Saturday for our next event and are in need of a barcode scanner, park walker and tailwalker to round out our volunteer schedule. If you'd like to claim one of the open positions please reach out and let us know.

While we were sad not to operate our event today we hope everyone has a great morning and is staying warm throughout the current cold weather. We are already looking forward to next week's event and now is a great time to secure your volunteer position of choice. If you're able to volunteer next week, or any week in the next couple of months we'd love to hear from you.

We are also excited to announce that Eastern Trail parkrun Biddeford will be participating in Biddeford's Winterfest Big Chill event on February 7. The Big Chill is taking place inside the Pepperell Center (40 Main St) from 12pm to 10pm and will showcase local businesses, arts, crafts and other community organizations. We plan to be present from 12pm - 5pm. If you'd like to volunteer in our booth and talk to anyone that will listen about parkrun we'd love to have you with us. Please reach out and let us know so we can plan accordingly.

Due to the forecast extreme cold weather our event will not be taking place this Saturday, January 24. Stay safe, stay warm, volunteer for next week's event if you can and we'll see you on the 31st!

Event #145 on The Eastern Trail is in the books! Congratulations and thank you to our 14 finishers, 9 volunteers, additional spectators and those that started the event and decided to call it a day early. While there was fresh snow this morning, conditions improved in time for our event with very little snow falling throughout and most people commenting that it wasn't too cold.
Huge congratulations to Kathleen for reaching the 100 parkrun milestone this morning!!! Well done and thank you for sharing so many Saturday mornings with us! Next stop - 250!
Thank you to James and Amanda for joining us from London. We hope you enjoyed your first Eastern Trail experience and your first snow run!
Welcome and congratulations also to Chelsea who completed her first parkrun today!!!!
Our volunteers are incredible. Thank you all so much for ensuring that today's event was successful. We simply cannot exist without you!

We are still searching for a timekeeper, park walker and tail walker for tomorrow's event. Without the timekeeper and tail walker the event cannot proceed. If you can help please reach out and let us know!
