Front Desk Position Opening Immediately!

Extremely busy, fast paced medical practice - Looking for full time front desk position. We are looking for an energetic and reliable professional with at least 2 or more years experience in a medical office setting. This person must be a multi-tasker who is able to prioritize, have excellent telephone skills, excellent customer service skills, scheduling and documentation skills. Should have knowledge on patient scheduling, insurance verification, data entry, etc. Must be a team player.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
* Greet patients and vendors
* Answering phones
* Customer Service
* Verify and schedule new and/or existing appointments
* Verify Insurance benefits
* Ongoing secretarial support

Requirements:
* At least 2 years' experience in Medical office setting.
* Strong attention to detail
* Proficient computer and internet skills
* Must have professional phone etiquette
* Ability to professionally communicate, listen and handle difficult situations
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Must be punctual and dependable with reliable transportation
* High School Diploma
* EMR knowledge a plus
* Ability to work in HARMONY with coworkers
* High Emotional Quotient/Emotional Intelligence

We are an extremely busy, fast paced medical practice looking for full time Medical Assistant to work the back office. We are looking for an energetic and reliable professional with at least 2 or more years experience in a medical office setting. This person should be a multi-tasker who is able to prioritize, have excellent telephone skills, excellent customer service skills, scheduling and documentation skills. Our ideal candidate should have knowledge on patient insurance verification, data entry, electronic medical/health records(EHR/EMR) etc. Must be a team player.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

-Urine Drug Screens (DOT/Coast Guard Physicals/Pre-employment)
-Triage/Vitals
-EMR/EHR (Medics Premier/Medics Doc Assistant/ADSC)
-Injections (Subs, IM)
-Phlebotomy / Blood Draws
-Quest Care360/LabCorp knowledge preferred
-Office surgeries/Biopsies/Sutures/Foreign Body Removals
-Cleaning Surgical Instruments/Sterilization Process
-Assist Doctor and Nurse Practitioner
-EKGs
-PFTs/Spirometry
-Knowledge of Medications
-Handle phone calls/ Return phone calls/messages
-Provide coverage for front office when needed
-Assist patients with questions/concerns
-Pharmacy request (prior authorizations/covermymeds.com)
-Data Entry (computer literate-Microsoft Office)
-Pre-Certification for Out-Patient procedures
-Referrals to other physicians (Tricare, Aetna, United Healthcare, others)
-Ordering Supplies (McKesson)
-Must maintain inventory (in-stock and in exam rooms)

REQUIREMENTS:

-Positive Attitude
-Bilingual, a plus but not required
-Must be able to keep up in a fast paced environment
-Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills required
-Reliable transportation
-Ability to work individually but also professionally as a team

Due to demand, the Florida Keys Area Health Education Center (AHEC) will begin administering Covid-19 rapid testing on Thursday, December 30th from 4-7 p.m. at Key West High School.
The testing is available free to residents of Key West and employees of Key West businesses. This added day will provide better safety for concerned citizens during this busy season.
Post-holiday testing will be offered Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, January 4th to the 15th.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays during this timeframe, the tests will be offered from 4 -7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
These free resident tests are provided through a collaboration of AHEC and the City of Key West.

It has been brought to our attention that Fisherman's Hospital, and all other entities under the name of Baptist Hospital have reached their BLACKOUT for the calendar year.

What this means for patient care is that they are NO LONGER ACCEPTING PATIENTS due to maxing out on their financial profits to be able to apply for financial grants until the first of the year.

Please be sure to either seek care at Lower Keys Medical Center or any other hospital/clinic NOT AFFILIATED with the Baptist Health System.
