It’s already day 5 of the Digestive Health Wellness & Walk!

This is about more than steps—it’s about shining a light on digestive health and rare GI illnesses like Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome (SMAS), gastroparesis, and many others that deserve more awareness & research.

The beauty of this walk is that wellness looks different for everyone. For some, it’s long walks outside. For others, it’s self-care, connection, or rest. Every action counts, and every point earned supports a cause that matters.

Let’s keep the momentum going together! You can still get involved by sharing posts, joining the event, or donating to support research. 💚

Day 2 of the walk, and today I want to spotlight something we don’t talk about enough: wellness looks different for everyone. 🌱

For me, with SMAS, MALS, gastroparesis, and celiac disease, wellness isn’t about drinking a gallon of water or running marathons. It’s about listening to my body, pacing myself, and celebrating small wins—even if that’s rest, gentle movement, or just making it through the day.

Remember to slow down and take that break when you need it. Honor yourself and what you need.

Wellness doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. What’s one way you plan to take care of yourself this week?

Today marks the start of the 2025 Virtual Digestive Health Wellness & Walk!

I’m walking with the SMAS team to raise awareness for Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome and to support vital research into gastrointestinal illnesses. 💜

Every step I take this week is for the countless individuals living with conditions that often go unseen but are deeply life-changing. Together, we can contribute to awareness, research, and hope.✨

Please message me your email if you want a link to walk!

Perfection.
A man made ideal that ceases to exist. It's ever changing. Its innately in our nature to inevitably improve at whatever we wish to do, simply through spending time doing it alone.
Try not to let your personal ideals of perfection discourage and distract you from where you are headed.
By the time we reach one goal we often times fail to pay credit to the fact that we will have at least three more set out for ourselves already. We will never attain perfection.
We will never be perfect.
Allow your barriers to enable you.
Allow obstacles to motivate you.
The perfect thing about us, is the expanse of the human mind. It's a beautiful thing.
At times our ambitious nature can have the ability to stop us in our tracks. Sometimes we are our only reason for throwing in the towel, for going no further. We are our own source of self limiting beliefs.
Our obstacles turn to stop signs when we allow our feelings of discouragement to dictate our next move.
We begin feeling misplaced and unfulfilled.
Perfection is not a characteristic of human kind. It's a marker to pinpoint all you're aiming for. Never fail to acknowledge that everyday you've reformed your ideal of perfection.

Let's be honest here. You expect more from yourself every single day.
Focus. Stay focused.
Dont allow your expectations for yourself to hurt you more then it has the ability to aid you in continuing to achieve everything you've set out on this earth to accomplish.
Perfection, we raise the bar every time we reach it, we'll always be improving.
Your perspective though, it's yours to keep.

Anything that's human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary." -Fred Rogers

September 10th is National Su***de Prevention Awareness day. A topic that is near and dear to so many hearts as well as my own.

✧There were nearly TWO AND A HALF TIMES as many su***des (47,511) in the United States as there were homicides (19,141) in 2019.

✧According to the CDC in 2019, Su***de was the tenth overall leading cause of death in the United States, claiming the lives of over 47,500 people.

✧It was the second leading cause of death among individuals age 10-34, and the fourth leading cause of death among individuals age 35-44.

The goal this month and every month? Let's educate eachother and raise awareness on su***de prevention and learn the warning signs.

Let's keep talking about this and reduce the stigma associated with people seeking mental health treatment and speaking up to ask for help.
You are worth it.
And your emotions are valid.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
If you are in a crisis, please call the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, they are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to support you & the service is available to anyone.
All calls are completely confidential.

It's got resources broken down in specific categories like eating disorders, sexual assault, anger, stress, depression, time management,  alcohol and substance abuse. And I'll be adding more and more to it this entire month!

This month I am invested in spreading su***de prevention awareness. Ontop of how depthful and overwhelming our day to day lives can already get, 2020 hit us heavy with challenges many of us have never experienced before. It's certainly caused an increase in symptoms of depression & anxiety for so many.
I want to encourage anyone who's currently struggling to reach out to those trusted people in their lives about what they're feeling.
And my DM's are always open.

The goal this month? Let's educate eachother and raise awareness on su***de prevention and learn the warning signs.
