EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: KIM 🐾✨
For the months of March & April, we’re so excited to introduce the amazing team members who love and care for your fur babies every single day! 💕🐶🐱
Today, we’re giving a HUGE shoutout to our second-longest-standing tech… KIM! 🎉👏
Kim graduated from Coahoma ISD in 2014 before heading to Stephenville to attend Tarleton State University. After earning her associate degree, she moved back to Coahoma with her (now husband!) Corey ❤️. She worked at Inspirations Boutique for a while before starting her journey here at Highland Animal Hospital. Beginning as a kennel assistant, Kim quickly worked her way up and earned her stripes as a veterinary technician! 🐾💪
She has been part of the Highland family for 8 ½ years—through a marriage 💍 and two sweet babies 👶👶—and we couldn’t imagine our team without her!
Kim’s favorite part of being a tech is diagnostics and surgery 🔬🩺. She loves looking beyond what can be seen with the naked eye to get to the root of a patient’s issues. A true problem solver at heart, Kim is passionate about making sure every pet leaves feeling better than when they came in 💕. Over the years, she’s especially enjoyed interpreting lab results and working closely with our amazing doctors to connect the dots—because sometimes the sneakiest problems are the real culprits! 🧩
And if there’s a golden retriever in the building… you can bet Kim is first in line! 🐕💛 She absolutely adores their goofy, loving personalities and can never get enough of those tail wags and puppy kisses 😍🐾
Some of her most memorable patients are Maddy and Molly, two beautiful golden retriever sisters who definitely kept us on our toes! 💦🐶 These water-loving girls struggled with chronic ear infections, and although their owners did everything they could, it took time to find the right solution. Eventually, sweet Molly underwent surgery for prevention, while Maddy’s condition improved. Years later, after moving to Dallas, they came back for a visit—and we were AMAZED to learn that Maddy is now a cancer survivor and amputee 💪❤️. Today, both girls are happy and healthy, and Kim cherishes every visit she gets with them!
Kim’s favorite part of working at Highland is the same as the rest of us—the people 💙. Our clinic is her found family, and she knows she wouldn’t be where she is today without the support of this incredible team. She looks forward to many more years of teamwork, laughter, and loving on all of your precious pets 🐾😊
Help us show Kim some LOVE and celebrate her amazing years at Highland! 🎉👏💖
