Appalachian Vision For over 45 years, our practice has proudly served Southwest Virginia with trusted, high-quality eye care. We were founded in Big Stone Gap, VA in 1979.

Our new name reflects our commitment to expanding access to exceptional vision care. Appalachian Vision has been providing eye care since the 1920's. We love this area and call it our home. Our mission

Instead of letting our patients read the usual eye chart, Iris decided to give everyone a special surprise… She hid the eye chart so she could share a bright and jolly message!🎄

Our Elf on the Shelf, Iris, decided to help out in billing today… or at least that was the plan! 😂💼

Instead of crunching numbers, she spent the whole morning playing with the decorations and ended up hanging from the ceiling. Clearly, productivity was not her priority. 🤣
