Didactics today with our DO faculty—Dr. Sizemore, Dr. Rose, and Dr. Seymour. Focused on practical OMT techniques for the clinic, including adapting treatment for nursing home and obstetric patients. And yes… even our MD residents are learning OMT too!

Our NEW Rural Frontier Training Track in Miles City, MT was developed to expand high-quality rural training in a true frontier environment. Offering full-spectrum family medicine--from inpatient and outpatient care, emergency medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatrics, and key procedural skills—all within the vibrant, welcoming community of Eastern Montana.

With dedicated and inspiring mentors like Drs. Sue Gallo, KayCee Gardner, Brook Murphy, and Marjorie Albers, it’s no wonder rural family medicine feels downright magical.

We’re excited to have our very own Dr. Shae Saunders join the faculty!

Montana Family Medicine Residency (MFMR) and the RiverStone Health Clinic are excited to welcome Shae Saunders, M.D. to the MFMR faculty and clinic staff.

Dr. Saunders recently completed residency with MFMR, and is eager to continue seeing her patients at RiverStone Health, as well as teach the next generation of family medicine providers as a faculty member.

Originally from Bozeman, she completed medical school at American University of Antigua College of Medicine, Antigua and Barbuda and earned her B.S. in Cultural Healthcare at Metropolitan State University of Denver, Denver, CO.

Barnhardt, an M.D. graduate, spent a month living on the Navajo Nation, learning the ins and outs of rural family medicine that he will bring to residency in the mountain west.
