Are you a fourth-year medical student looking for a hands-on, meaningful clinical experience? Our Family Medicine Sub-Internships offer an intellectually challenging and rewarding opportunity to train alongside experienced physicians while caring for real patients.

Students work side-by-side with Montana Family Medicine Residency faculty and resident physicians, rotating through the RiverStone Health Clinic, as well as community hospitals and rural clinics across the region. It’s an immersive experience designed to strengthen clinical skills and deepen your understanding of family medicine in both urban and rural settings.

Colorectal cancer is increasing in younger adults. It is unclear why, but experts believe it could be a diet of low-fiber overprocessed food, obesity and sedentary lifestyles. An increase in inflammation and environmental toxins are also suspected reasons for the increase.
