Food like building blocks is my principle.
So in each meal I try to make sure I incorporate some of each of the following categories.
Healthy Fats
"Healthy fats play a crucial role in maintaining brain health. Here are some recommended healthy fats:
Omega-3 Fatty Acids:
Found in fatty fish (salmon, tuna, sardines)
Flaxseed, chia seeds, walnuts
Essential for cognitive function, memory, and mood
Monounsaturated Fatty Acids:
Found in olive oil, avocados, nuts (almonds, cashews)
Protect brain cells from damage and improve cognitive performance
Other Healthy Fats:
Coconut oil: May improve memory and cognitive function
Olive oil: Antioxidants protect brain cells
Avocados: Rich in Omega-3 and monounsaturated fats"
Protein
"Most adults need between 0.8 and 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram (2.2 pounds) of body weight, or 10% to 35% of total daily calories."
H₃O₂ or Living water
"Why is H₃O₂ important in fruit?
Hydration: This structured water is bound to other components like fiber, allowing the body to absorb and retain water more effectively.
Nutrient delivery: The water-fiber matrix in fruits helps deliver nutrients and electrolytes throughout the body.
Cellular function: This structured water is found intracellularly and is crucial for healthy cell function and healing."
and Trace Minerals which include
"Enzymes and Metabolism:
Trace minerals, such as copper, iron, and zinc, are essential components of enzymes that facilitate metabolic processes, including energy production, oxygen transport, and DNA synthesis.
Immune Function:
Minerals like selenium, zinc, and copper support the immune system by boosting white blood cell production, enhancing antibody formation, and protecting against infections.
Bone Health:
Minerals like calcium, magnesium, and silicon contribute to strong and healthy bones by supporting bone formation and mineralization.
Hormonal Balance:
Trace minerals, such as iodine and manganese, are involved in the production and regulation of hormones, including thyroid hormone and insulin.
Neurological Function:
Minerals like copper and zinc are essential for maintaining healthy nerve function and cognitive abilities.
Muscle Function:
Minerals like magnesium, potassium, and sodium are crucial for muscle contraction, electrolyte balance, and nerve impulse transmission.
Antioxidant Activity:
Trace minerals, such as selenium and copper, act as antioxidants that protect cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals.
Other Benefits:
Some trace minerals, such as nickel and chromium, may have additional health benefits, although more research is needed."
Food can still be fun and tasty utilizing this method, just takes a bit of intention. I have lost over 200lbs, regained trust in my body, and got completely out of pain within 3 years just by doing this and focusing on mobility strength training and lymphatic/fascial health.
Wellness doesn't need to seem like sacrifice, rather it is the ultimate act of self love. I know we are approaching the time of year when we give ourselves ultimatums, rather let's just start loving ourselves. Have any questions please reach out.
