In the stillness of the early morning, around 2:00am, this powerful home birth journey began when her water broke at home—calm, quiet, and full of anticipation. From the very start, Mama met every contraction with strength and confidence. She didn’t just ride the waves… she bodied them.

As labor picked up and we reached transition, the sounds filling the room said it all. Her moans and groans were deep, instinctual, and certain—she was READY. And just as her body declared it, it didn’t take long at all. Shortly after 6:30am, in the space she intentionally chose, her baby made a beautiful entrance into the world.

As a repeat client, it meant everything to be her first choice for support again. With her first birth being precipitous, we were definitely a little on edge this time—saying prayers and half-joking that baby wouldn’t decide to arrive in the car on the way to the birth location. But we made it 😂 and what a victory that was.

Watching the relationship we’ve built over the years continue to blossom has been such a gift to me. I am beyond proud of both mom and dad for boldly going after the home birth they desired and trusting the process together.

Welcome to the world, sweet Baby Girl. Doula baby #49—an honor I’ll always hold close. 💕

🤎✨ Black History Month Reflection ✨🤎

As I’ve just begun reading about Gladys Milton, I already see so much of myself in how she started this sacred work. The calling. The way it found her before she even had words for it. The heart for community, for women, for babies—long before titles or formal recognition ever came.

Her story is a reminder that birth work isn’t always chosen in a traditional way. Sometimes it chooses you. And when I read about her beginnings, it feels like looking into a mirror, just in different times, but the same purpose.

To walk a path that our ancestors once walked is humbling. To recognize yourself in their story is affirming. And to know that their legacy lives on through us? That’s powerful.

Thank you, Gladys Milton, for paving the way. I promise to honor it well. 🌿🤎

She went into labor carrying a quiet confidence, even when the hours stretched long and exhaustion tried to creep in. Over 24 hours of steady work, her body never gave up. What started slowly soon began to build momentum—2 centimeters, then 4, then 6—and with each step forward, she leaned deeper into her strength. By the time she reached 8, there was no doubt: her body knew exactly what it was doing. When she arrived at 10, it felt like everything clicked into place.

She delivered vaginally, exactly as she had hoped, trusting the process and honoring the plan she worked so hard to create. She spoke up for herself, made informed choices, and stayed grounded in what she wanted for her birth. Her body did what it was created to do, and she met every wave with determination and grace. I am beyond proud of her—for her endurance, her voice, and her unwavering belief in herself. This birth was powerful, intentional, and a true reflection of her strength.

Welcome Doula Baby #48, the much needed peace. 🫶🏾

This Mama Bear went into labor hoping for a peaceful home VBAC. She labored with so much strength for 36 hours, but the pain became intense in a way that didn’t feel normal. The contractions were consistent, but something about them felt off. She listened to her body and said, “This pain is too much. I want to go to the hospital.”

And thank God she did.

Once we arrived, her care team found her uterus was extremely thin on two sides—a “window.” Had she continued her TOLAC at home, she likely would’ve ruptured. Her intuition protected her.

Her cesarean was calm and non-emergent, but waiting any longer could’ve made it an emergency. Baby was born safely, and Mama Bear did absolutely AMAZING.

I’m so proud of her. Not just for wanting a VBAC, but for trusting her body when it mattered most.

Mamas, listen to your bodies. Only YOU know what you’re feeling. 🩵✨

Welcome Doula Baby #44 🩷

A February baby who said, “Actually… I want turkey and sweet potato pie,” and made her grand entrance in November 😂 all because clearly she had plans of her own.

This birth was unexpected in every way. I was in Texas attending another birth when she decided it was time, and whew… my heart was truly in shambles not being physically there for her. But even from miles away, I stayed locked in. By checking in, supporting, loving, and holding space every step of the way.

As soon as I drove back from San Antonio, I took my bags home, turned right back around, and hit the road to her. And I didn’t regret a single second of it.

This client and I go back about 8 years, which honestly feels wild to even say out loud. It feels like forever, but in the best way. We’ve always had a great vibe, so to be asked to be her doula was truly an honor, especially knowing how private she is. That trust meant everything to me.

Through it all, she showed so much strength, grace, and resilience. And baby girl? She came into this world strong too. After 68 days in the NICU, she has finally been discharged and is HOME, where she belongs. To home she goes, and to home I pray she stays.

She’s feisty like her mama (not surprised one bit), deeply loved like her mama, and already showing her personality. And fun fact: I am obsessed with her name. It’s been on my baby name list for YEARS 😂🥹🩷

Welcome to the world, sweet girl.

Ended 2025 with a heart full of gratitude ! 🥹

This year closed with me officially being a Phase 2 student, stretching me in ways I didn’t know I needed. 4 births in one month while working with an amazing birth team.

Alongside that, I supported 8 beautiful families as a doula, each one a reminder of why I answered this calling. And I plan to further that calling into something more. Look out CPM, I’m coming for you. 🩺

Now beyond birth work, I watched provision unfold in another way: 7 nannies placed and multiple families supported across the Gulf Coast, helping careers grow and households find the care they needed. 🫶🏾

Every part of this year confirmed I’m walking in purpose. Grateful for the trust, the lessons, and the growth. ✨

Whewwww, this one right here is special.
My girl told me she’d be home by 7:30pm. She was calm, collected, and convinced she had some time. But baby boy had a completely different agenda. 😂

She called and said,
“Hey… so… we’re actually headed to the hospital.”

Now mind you — I’m 2.5 hours away.
If I had left when I originally planned, I would have MISSED the chance to support another good friend from my college days. But God’s timing? Always perfect.

This mama had her doubts. Being a first-time mom, she wasn’t sure if she could do it without an epidural. And y’all… she did that.
No epidural.
No hesitation.
Just strength, breath, surrender, and pure love guiding her through.

A little over 7 hours of labor & as a first-time mom.
Let that sink in.

I keep reminding her just how BLESSED she was to have such a beautiful, powerful, intentional birth experience the very first time she walked this road. She trusted her body. She trusted her baby. She leaned into every wave like she had done it before.

And baby boy??
Listen.
He came out CHOCOLATE, handsome, and ready for the world.
Every weight and measurement — I guessed it on the DOT.
And he arrived right on his due date.
Already Type A like his mama. 🥹

She did amazing. I am so proud of her.
My heart is so full.

Help me welcome Doula Baby #43 earthside.
You are loved, you are celebrated, and you are so deeply covered.

We’re gonna go back in time, to a birth in OCTOBER. 🥹

From the very beginning, this little miracle was loved, prayed for, and covered in grace. His journey into the world wasn’t just his mama’s story—it became a shared testimony of strength, sisterhood, and divine timing.

During her pregnancy, she walked through moments that tested her mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. There were rough patches, days when her strength was stretched, and seasons where everything felt heavy. But even across the distance, God allowed me to stand with her—virtually, prayerfully, and heart-first. I often felt like I wasn’t doing enough because I couldn’t be there physically… but hearing her words reminded me that sometimes support doesn’t come from presence, but from consistency, love, and a listening ear.

And then—he arrived.
A beautiful, healthy blessing whose very existence carries testimony. A baby boy who entered the world loved by a village, covered by his mama’s resilience, and wrapped in God’s promises.

And for me, he holds an extra special place in my heart—doula baby #39. Another little life I had the honor of supporting into this world, even from afar.

Now she’s stepping into motherhood stronger than ever, thriving, and deeply grateful for the love, advice, and quiet support that helped hold her steady. One day soon, I’ll finally get to meet the sweet boy who made her a mama—an honor I don’t take lightly.

Welcome to the world, little Doula Baby #39.
You are proof that God keeps His promises, even in the quiet places. 🤎✨
