As of January 1, 2026, there will be some important changes to your insurance coverage. This change was made by the MN Legislature and affects all chiropractic offices in Minnesota. As of January 1, 2026, the MN Legislature has made the decision to discontinue chiropractic care coverage for Medical Assistance and Managed Care Plans for all persons over 21 years of age.
You will still be able to receive care in our office; however you will be fully responsible for payment for all services received. WE DO OFFER A TIME OF SERVICE DISCOUNT IF YOU PAY ON THE DAY OF YOUR VISIT.
Key chiropractic coverage updated effective 1/1/26 for all Medical Assistance and managed care recipients age 21 and older:
Minnesota Care, MN Senior Care Plus (MSC+), Special Needs BasicCare (SNBC) Medical Assistance , MN Senior Health Options (MSHO), Special Needs Basic Care (SNBC) Integrated
Note: For pregnant members aged 21 and over, no chiropractic services related to pregnancy are covered under Medical Assistance.
We understand how essential chiropractic care is for managing pain, improving mobility and maintaining overall health. The Department of Human Services is taking comments until October 17, 2025. You can email them at dhs.spa.comments@state.mn.us.
Please let them know what missing care will mean for you. We also ask that you share this post to spread the information.
If you have questions about how this change may impact your care or would like to speak with us about your options, please don't hesitate to call our office at 320-365-4635. We thank you for your continued trust in your health care.
