5. You can ask for help.

Calling people "narcissistic" is very popular in social media circles right now, and while NPD is a serious disorder that many people suffer from, not everyone is actually a "narcissist." It is more likely that the person you're having chronic conflict with is emotionally immature. Which of these patterns of behavior sound familiar to you, and how would you like to respond to them? With firmer boundaries? With more patience? Or with greater accountability? How can you "protect your peace" with emotionally immature people?

From time to time, you may exhibit emotional immaturity. However, it can be problematic when you chronically display emotionally immature behaviors.

Humans exist at varying levels of learning to regulate emotions and respond appropriately. We don't always get it right and sometimes, our environment doesn't challenge us to do better.

Practice learning more about your emotions and respecting other people's emotions.
