Michael Soike, M.D., shared that the UAB Heersink School of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology is offering low‑dose radiation therapy for osteoarthritis to decrease inflammatory markers and help joints “reset,” with painless sessions that do not cause hair loss or skin irritation.

The program is now available at The Kirklin Clinic at Action Road and Russell Medical Center in Alexander City, expanding access for patients beyond Birmingham.
