Hello Hello!
It's been a while, folks. I took a break this summer to be present with my growing kiddos and getting back into school this Fall has been non-stop! I hope this cooler weather is allowing all of you to slow down and hibernate a bit here and there- maybe sipping some good hot cocoa these last few days! My favorite lately has been Tulsi Turmeric Ginger hot tea or my Ashwaghanda Mushroom Hot Cocoa.
PODCAST LATELY
I have had the pleasure of hosting two amazing ladies on the last few episodes of the podcast, so don't miss their stories and wisdom! The first was with Randi Lungren, a Spiritual Director (August) and the second was Allie Parsons, a Functional Nutritionist (Oct). Both were absolutely amazing and had so much great information to share. Links below to listen!
I have decided to end the podcast after 3 years...it was a hard decision, but I felt like I had put out great information and there wasn't much left to cover :) I thoroughly enjoyed doing it and am ever so grateful to all the listeners! I also needed to make energetic room (and calendar room ;)) for my next adventure....
Nature Based Preschool & Forest Kindergarten
I AM SO EXCITED!!
I have teamed up with the lovely Jane Mayer (educator and shaman) to create Birmingham's first Nature Based Preschool and Forest Kindergarten and I could not be happier!! If you, or anyone you know, may be interested in hearing more please reach out to me via email, social media, text, or phone to learn more. We are hosting a parent-interest meeting (or teacher interest meeting ;)) on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 3pm.
As of now, the location is set for Birmingham Botanical Gardens, but that is TBD as time draws closer depending on weather. I am super stoked about this and hope you can be there for the informational meeting or will keep me in your thoughts and prayers as Integrative OT takes on this new adventure!
Sensory Trail at Melrose Park
I am also super excited for this adventure!!
Through a partnership with the city of Chelsea, I am creating a nature-based story walk complete with multi-sensory space for kids of all ages (0-99) and abilities! This has been a dream of mine since early last summer, and if you've followed along with me on social media, you've seen bits and pieces of it stringing together, but last week became official! We applied for the grant for extra funding and staked out the location for the city to start the work!! Please follow along with me & keep up to date on this adventure. If you're in the Birmingham area, I would love for you to come walk it with us when it's officially opened; hoping for March-April!
