We’re excited to feature Amit Momaya, MD and Steven Brown, MD at the Robert A. Ferguson Endowed Lecture Series: A Conference on Sports & Exercise Medicine on June 13, 2026.

This year’s first main stage session, “The Great Debate: Optimal Management of Knee, Shoulder, and Hip Pathologies in Athletes,” will explore expert perspectives on surgical and non-operative treatment options, clinical decision-making, and the latest approaches to managing common and complex sports injuries.

We enjoyed being part of the Career Pathways Panel & Presentation hosted by the UAB School of Education and Human Sciences! 👏

Students had the opportunity to hear firsthand from professionals in occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, and athletic training about what their careers really look like, from day-to-day responsibilities to work-life balance, challenges, and what they love most about their work.

AHSAA Class 5A Boys Basketball State Champions! 👏

The Dragons captured the title with a historic 101-40 victory over the Sylacauga Aggies. Congratulations on an incredible season and bringing the Blue Map back to Birmingham!

The Dragons are headed to the FINALS! 🐉

The Wenonah Dragons defeated the LeFlore Rattlers 79–60 to punch their ticket to the state championship game. They’ll face the Sylacauga Aggies tomorrow morning at 10:45 a.m. in a highly anticipated rematch.

We're back on the road! Our team was proud to host its Sports Medicine Clinical Lecture & Casting Lab in Jacksonville, Alabama! We had a fantastic time working with students from JSU's Master of Athletic Training Program, providing hands-on experience in clinical care, administrative tasks, casting techniques, and more. It's an honor to support and mentor aspiring athletic trainers as they prepare for their careers in sports medicine. 🙌
