Our Mobile Market was on-site providing fresh fruits and vegetables while our coaches were inside delivering health-related fact sheets and other resources directly to the community.

On December 11, we joined Dothan community members at Andrew Bell for a productive meeting. We’re always grateful for the chance to connect, listen, and support local initiatives to make health and wellness more accessible.

We had a great time connecting with families at the Dothan Parent Summit! 💚 Many parents shared how interested they are in the Healthy Happy Kids (HHK) program, which teaches children about healthy eating and staying active in a fun, hands-on way.

We’re excited to explore opportunities with local partners to bring HHK to Dothan and continue supporting health and wellness across the community.

Our Faith-Based Leaders End-of-Year Celebration brought together pastors, farmers, partners, and new city leadership to recognize another year of working together in Selma. At the event, 7 farmers were honored for their dedication and their role in supporting access to healthy food.

DelMesha Swain, a recent graduate of our Community Leadership Academy, returned to her hometown of Anniston after more than 15 years abroad and is transforming her community through CLICK. From creating a neighborhood garden to launching programs that connect children with nutrition and technology, she is showing how leadership and collaboration can spark lasting change.

We had a great day of service with the Selma community at the Sophia P. Kingston Elementary School Teaching Farm! Our volunteers helped put together equipment and create storage space to keep the environment ready for learning.

As LHSA’s Financial Officer, Kyle plays a key role in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and supporting the programs that bring health and wellness to communities across Alabama. His work might not always be front and center, but we couldn’t do what we do without him!

We recently attended the American Diabetes Association's 2025 State of Diabetes event at the Southern Museum of Flight. Our Executive Director of Operations, Dr. Lemeshia Chambers, presented information about LHSA to attendees. We also held a healthy cooking demonstration for all to enjoy!
