In recognition of this day, we’re highlighting a pioneering woman in science, Gertrude B. Elion. At a time when women were rarely represented in scientific research, her persistence and innovation helped shape modern medicine. Her groundbreaking work in drug development led to treatments that transformed care for life-threatening illnesses, including leukemia, and earned her the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1988.
Advancements like these continue to impact patients today. As a specialty infusion provider, we support individuals managing complex and chronic conditions and see firsthand how innovative therapies can improve stability, independence, and quality of life.
