Alabama Health Outdoors Using the great outdoors as a tool the heal in the technological age. Helping people get outside and learn new coping skills and create new support groups.

All of our events are family friendly, but we do a big focus with people in active recovery from addiction, and mental health clients that want to get out in the great outdoors with new friends!

The Army Corps of Engineers is in year one of a three-year study of possible ways to get fish around two dams on the Alabama river - the Millers Ferry Lock and Dam, completed in 1974 and located southwest of Selma, and the Claiborne Lock and Dam, completed in 1970 northwest of Monroeville.

Enrollment at the Capstone has reached legendary heights this fall! The 38,645 students enrolled tops the previous record of 38,563 set in 2017, boosted by the largest freshman class in the University’s history with 8,037 students. This fall there are also 1,088 students (322 freshmen) recognized as National Merit Scholars, the most ever to attend the Capstone! 👏

Enrollment of freshmen from Alabama rose for the fourth consecutive year. The University of Alabama System educates more Alabamians than any other university system. With students from all 67 of Alabama’s counties, all 50 states, the District of Columbia and 88 countries, UA is educating and graduating more students than any university in the state, awarding more than 9,300 degrees over the past year! 🤩
