Lakeshore Foundation is a fitness, recreation, sport, research and advocacy organization for people with physical disabilities located in Birmingham, AL. Lakeshore's Lima Foxtrot programs serve our nation's injured military.

☀️ Ready for an unforgettable summer? Lakeshore is seeking teens aged 16-18 for our teen volunteer program! Our summer teen interns work in a variety of Lakeshore program areas, including athletics, aquatics, fitness, membership, communications and recreation.

Throughout the summer, you'll build leadership, teamwork and customer service skills, all while learning more about how being active in fitness, recreation, sport and research opportunities is critical for people with physical disabilities and chronic health conditions.

What a weekend of Para swim! 🏊 Congratulations to all of the swimmers who competed at the Lakeshore Para Swim Open Series — we had many athletes who posted personal records, Para National times, World Series times and more!

We want to give a huge thank you to all the athletes, coaches, volunteers, staff and officials who helped make Lakeshore’s first swim meet in more than a decade such a success! We could not have done it without you.

MilanoCortina2026 has been amazing so far, and we're just getting started. 🥇 The 2026 Paralympic Winter Games start today with the Opening Ceremony at 1:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. CT on NBC Olympics & Paralympics and Peacock TV!
