The UAB School of Nursing is Alabama’s powerhouse nursing school, ranking No. 1 in the state for both the Master of Science in Nursing and the Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, as reflected in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report “Best Graduate Schools” rankings, universally recognized as the leading academic program rankings for colleges and universities.

Overall, the MSN program ranks No. 8 in the nation, up two spots from the previous year, and the DNP program ranks No. 9 nationally, up one spot from last year. Nine graduate specialties also rank among the best in the nation.

Health care professionals in solid organ transplant programs are invited to join us next month for the 2026 Interprofessional Transplant Conference.

Co‑hosted by the UAB Comprehensive Transplant Institute, the UAB School of Nursing and the Alabama Chapter of the International Transplant Institute, this symposium will provide transplant‑focused education that participants can apply directly in their practice to improve care for solid organ transplant patients.

Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses (coordinators and staff RNs), pharmacists and social workers in solid organ transplant programs are encouraged to attend.
