Breastfeeding is one of the hardest things I've ever done. It was never a "natural" process for us. He never could latch and I felt like I never could produce enough milk. So I am donating my milk to support the Mamas who, for whatever reason, cannot provide breast milk for their babies. I am donating to take one thing off of a family's plate.
I am donating so that families can focus on getting their babies home. 💜🏡

This October, we’re celebrating “Pump-kins and Pumping!” 🎃

Every ounce you pump can nourish fragile NICU infants, support families in need, and provide life-saving nutrition. HMBANA milk banks screen and distribute every drop safely and effectively. Pumping parents power miracles every day and deserve to be celebrated!

🎃 Ready to donate? Find a milk bank at HMBANA.org.

I wanted to donate because I’ve been privileged to make more than my little girl currently needs. I was in a lot of pumping groups and saw so many little ones in the NICU and I just wanted to do my part to help. I want to help as many little ones as I can. 💜

I was an over-producer with my daughter and had no idea that I could donate- let alone how that donation could make a difference until I discovered MMBAL. So even though I've been about break even with my son, we wanted to donate what we could before the end of
our journey. William (now 17 mo) wanted to help me pack a few bags and hopes other babies can grow up to be strong and adventurous as he is.!

Thank you MMBAL for helping our journey be extra special and something bigger than ourselves!

As the end of the year approaches, it is the perfect time to reflect, give back, and plan meaningful contributions that support causes you care about. Year-end donations not only help strengthen organizations like ours, but they may also offer tax-deductible benefits.

Your support allows Mother's Milk Bank of Alabama to continue providing life saving human milk to babies in need, especially during the busy holiday season when the need often grows.

Thank you to every single one of our supporters; we couldn’t do this important work without you!

Read Julie's below:

We chose to use formula with our first, and shortly after he was born, the 2022 formula shortage started. I will never forget driving from store to store to store, trying to find the sensitive formula he needed, and striking out over and over. With our second, I decided to try breastfeeding, and ended up really loving it! I had an oversupply for the first few months, and was so happy to be able to use that to give to other moms so they didn’t have to worry the way I had.

I am so thankful for MMBAL for making the process so simple, and for helping provide for NICU babies throughout the state!
