Play is more than fun — it’s how children process emotions and practice problem-solving. 🧡 For kids with trauma, play can reduce stress hormones and strengthen attachment with caregivers.
Even simple activities like drawing, building with blocks, or outdoor games give children a safe space to express themselves and rebuild trust.

Sleep isn’t just rest — it’s the brain’s reset button. 🧡 For children who’ve experienced trauma, sleep supports the parts of the brain that manage emotions, memory, and learning. When sleep is disrupted, children may be more irritable, anxious, or have trouble focusing in school.
Caregivers can help by creating calming bedtime routines and safe sleep environments that promote healing.
