Congratulations to Ragen! 10 years ago she lost the weight for good! She says, “I have been thinking about this post for a few weeks, knowing that this day that feels so momentous was approaching. All the words I’ve come up with thus far fall short of really conveying how I feel today, on the TENTH anniversary of my weight loss surgery.
Ten years is a really long time—over a third of my life. This journey I’ve been on for the past decade has been anything but simple. There have been so many ups and downs, and if I’m being honest, I don’t really think I ever believed I’d be where I am today.
On February 23, 2016, it was hard to fathom an “after”—a world where I was anything BUT the biggest girl in every room. That’s what I had always been, but I knew I wanted more. I knew I was MEANT for more. So I took that first step, and I’ve been taking another step every day for the past ten years. 3,653 days. 3,653 steps. Sometimes the step was forward; sometimes the step was backward. But there was always a step, one way or another.
And now we’re here. In a place 19-year-old me only knew in her wildest dreams. I am surrounded by people who love me, I have a job I absolutely adore, and I am so SO happy. Truly, deeply, deliriously happy. And I think that level of happiness is what 19-year-old me wanted the most. She’d be proud of the 208 pounds lost (she probably wouldn’t believe that part 😂), but she’d be more proud of the life we have. She wasn’t fighting to see a number on the scale. She was fighting for happiness, and that fight will always be worth it.

Jessica has lost 97 pounds in 12 months since her outpatient sleeve gastrectomy by America’s best weight loss surgeons! She paid for the surgery herself and she says it was worth every penny. But she paid $9,990 and now the price is only $7,990!! We have been lowering the price since 2008 when we started doing outpatient sleeve gastrectomy.
