• pre-and post-natal maternal resources.
• mental health and wellness support.
• infant burial assistance from 20 weeks to 12 months of age. The ultimate goal for KLA Memorial is to combat infant and maternal mortality.

We just want mothers, fathers and families to know that they are not alone.

There are safe spaces for just about anything and everything in this world but we fail to acknowledge families that experienced the loss of an infant.

These little ones were humans as well and they were loved; therefore celebrating once nationwide shouldn't be an issue.

Many families hurt by the loss of an infant never heal. Many don't know how to find the proper help. Many just suppress the hurt and move forward. Meanwhile, there are proper coping techniques that can help manage the grief.

So, we at Khairi and Little Angels' Memorial are here to tell mothers, fathers and families they are not alone and "We Heard Your Cry" author Executive Director Dr. Tomeka Walker.

In October, we celebrate National Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day. On this day, we let those who have experienced this traumatizing event know they are not alone.

For the event, the infant's name must be registered no later than Monday, October 13, 2025, to be a part of the Memorial Wall.

Candles will be provided along with counseling resources, if needed.

Preparing for an event is never an easy task. However, we at Khairi and Little Angels' Memorial are getting ready for our Educate Mommy and Me Awareness Shower, which is sponsored by our Campaign.

Campaign was established from AL.com statistics which states that at least 40 mothers die each year before their infant reaches their first birthday.

What is Educate Mommy and Me Awareness Shower you may ask. This event makes way for mothers, mothers to be and those thinking of becoming mothers the opportunity to come face to face with medical professionals and obtain a better knowledge about things in the maternal world that may not be extremely clear to them. It also allows for these things as well
✔️Q & A sessions
✔️Games
✔️Food
✔️Gifts for mom and baby
✔️It also provides resources, awareness and most importantly education that is much needed.

❓️Some ask, are fathers welcome to come? Most certainly we want fathers to be a part of the event. Parenthood is a very important, special and life-changing experience for mom and dad and we want both to have a great healthy outcome.

Bottom line: A mother and father need to be comfortable and able to trust their Obstetrician.

Our Story

This page is spreading awareness about the other side of pregnancy. The side no one cares to talk about. Well, it happens and the more awareness provide then maybe the less is will happen. We are a non-profit organization that will help low income women and their families with assistance with burial for infant's 20 weeks gestation to 12 months of age.. We also offer our grief support group "Stand by Us" to grief stricken individuals, We are about sharing how to celebrate your love one, cope with life and how to adjust your life after the loss of a loved one. Encouraging you every step of the way. We lift each other up.
