This week we’ve been celebrating Allied Ophthalmic Personnel (AOP) Week and recognizing the incredible work our ophthalmic technicians do every day.

AOP Week, recognized by the International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO®), honors the essential role that ophthalmic professionals play in improving the quality and delivery of eye care.

Our AOA techs are efficient, skilled, and compassionate, and we couldn’t do what we do without them! 💙

This week’s celebration included:
🍬 Monday – candy bags
🍗 Tuesday – Chick-fil-A gift cards
🧳 Thursday – travel bags + new team t-shirts
🥗 Friday – lunch to celebrate our amazing techs

Pictured below are just a few of our incredible techs.

We’re so thankful for everything our team does. Be sure to comment below to show your appreciation!

👁 November is Diabetic Eye Disease Awareness Month, and here’s what you should know:
Diabetes can quietly damage the small blood vessels in the back of your eye, a condition called diabetic retinopathy.

It often starts without symptoms, meaning you might not notice vision changes until the disease has already progressed.

The good news is that early detection and regular eye exams can prevent most vision loss caused by diabetes.

If you or someone you love manages diabetes, make eye care part of your routine!

It’s that time again, don’t forget to “fall back” this Sunday! ⏰

Set your clocks back one hour and enjoy a little extra sleep. 😴

Shorter days mean more night driving, so make sure your glasses and headlights are ready for the season ahead! 👓🌙

Each one is packed with Vitamin A, lutein, and antioxidants that help protect your eyes from dryness, strain, and age-related changes.

👁 Your eyes age, too, here’s how to protect them at every stage of life.

Just like the rest of your body, your eyes change as you grow.

Here’s what to keep in mind at every age:
👶 Kids: Regular checkups help catch vision problems early (even before school starts).
👧 Teens: Encourage healthy screen habits and UV protection — they’ll thank you later!
👩‍🦰 20s–30s: Keep up with yearly exams, manage screen time, and don’t skip sunglasses.

A few small habits now can protect your sight for decades to come.

➡️ Save this for future you, and remind your family to keep up with their exams, too.

Here are 3 quick tips to help keep your eyes sharp on the road.

Clear vision makes every drive safer. Save this post, and don’t drive into fall nights without checking your vision.
