🦉 Fun eye fact: Owls can’t move their eyes.

Unlike humans, owl eyes are tube-shaped and fixed in place by bony rings, meaning they can’t roll their eyes within their sockets. Instead, they rotate their heads up to 270 degrees to scan their surroundings.

Their elongated eye structure gives them excellent focus and depth perception, especially when hunting, but they rely on head movement to compensate for limited eye mobility!

March is Save Your Vision Month! 👀

Protecting your eyesight isn’t just about reacting to problems; it’s about being proactive. Many serious eye conditions develop quietly, without early symptoms.

Here are a few things you can do to preserve your vision long-term:

1. Schedule comprehensive eye exams. Many serious eye diseases develop without early symptoms, and routine exams allow for early detection before vision is affected.

2. Protect your eyes from UV damage. Wear sunglasses that block 99–100% of UVA and UVB rays. Long-term sun exposure increases the risk of cataracts and other eye conditions.

3. Manage your overall health. Conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure can impact your vision. Staying on top of your health protects your eyes, too.

You remembered to change your clocks… ⏰

Now let this be your reminder to prioritize your eye care, too.

Longer days mean more sunshine, more screen time, and more reasons to protect your vision.

Spring is the perfect time to schedule that eye exam you’ve been putting off.

Sports are a leading cause of eye injuries, with more than 30,000 sports-related eye injuries treated each year. 👁

The encouraging part? Most serious injuries are preventable. In fact, up to 90% can be avoided with proper protective eyewear.

Whether it’s a fast-moving ball, flying debris, or unexpected contact, your eyes are always at risk during play.

Protective eyewear designed specifically for your sport can make a significant difference in keeping your vision safe.

Because protecting your eyes is just as important as protecting the rest of your body.

Dry, itchy, irritated eyes in the winter? You’re not imagining it. ❄️

Cold weather habits can quietly make dry eye symptoms worse, even if your eyes felt fine in warmer months.

The good news is that simple changes, like adding humidity, taking screen breaks, and protecting your eyes outdoors, can make a noticeable difference!
