✨ From my scar to my story, every picture tells a journey of resilience, hope and self-love. ✨

My cancer journey shaped who I am today and led me to open Born Yoga — a space where children and families can find movement, mindfulness and magic. Last month we celebrated 10 years of Born Yoga! I am reminded of how far I’ve come and the incredible community that has grown alongside me. 💜

September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and together we raised $5,140 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan 🌟 This organization is especially close to my heart because when I was 7 years old, I also had a wish. That wish gave me strength and joy at a time when I needed it most and it inspires me every day to give back and spread light.

I had the incredible honor of joining FOX 2 this morning to share the excitement around Born Yoga’s 10th Birthday Celebration Saturday, September 13, 1-4pm🎉🧘‍♀️ and to highlight our mission during Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.🎗️

💛 Together, we’re raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan, an organization that holds such a special place in my heart. When I was just 7 years old, Make-A-Wish granted my dream to meet the cast of Full House 🏠💖 — a memory that continues to inspire me to this day. Now, I’m honored to give back so that other children can have their wishes come true.🎗️

The Story of Born Yoga

Born Yoga is Michigan's first yoga studio solely dedicated to children and families. We offer yoga, aerial yoga and mindfulness for the whole family! Born Yoga is a welcoming and safe space for kids, teens and families to explore physicality & mindfulness through developmentally appropriate yoga and community-focused programs.

Our classes are designed to encourage self-discovery by building your child’s self-esteem and confidence, enhancing flexibility, and improving balance and coordination. Through mindful breathing techniques, they will learn how to relax and self-regulate their bodies. These skills are achieved through developmentally appropriate yoga games, creative poses and simple to challenging yoga flows.

Kids can experience many stressful situations, from homework to competition in sports, to name a few. Yoga teaches them how to react to these stressors in a positive and healthy way. It is our goal, at Born Yoga, to increase self-awareness and understanding of how their actions can affect both themselves and others.

Our motto is that yogis are kind, mindful and helpful. We place a strong emphasis on teaching kindness and communication skills within each class. They are encouraged to give and receive help, when needed. The concept of mindfulness is approached appropriately based on age.
