With below freezing temperatures in our forecast, the Warming Station will be open Monday, December 29th, Tuesday; December 30th; Wednesday, December 31st at Jimmie Hale Mission and Pathways. Jimmie Hale Mission can accommodate men and women, Pathways can accommodate women and children. Detailed information can be found above.

The warming station will open at 6 p.m. each night and remain open each morning until temperatures rise above freezing.

Cold weather can cause Narcan to freeze at 5°F or below. When frozen, the spray will not work. After Narcan fully thaws at room temperature (about 15 minutes), it can be used and is effective.

If an overdose is suspected while Narcan is frozen, do not wait — call 911 right away. If the person is not breathing or is breathing slowly, provide rescue breathing until Narcan can be given and help arrives.
