Wellness Pharmacy® has been a family run business since 1922, the year Bob Harbin founded Harbin Drugs. We’ve dedicated our practice to compounding since 1964—which means, of course, that Wellness has now offered quality compounding for over 50 years. Rod Harbin, Sr. joined the company in 1971, shortly after his graduation from Auburn University.
The 1980’s and 1990’s saw a number of changes and expansions in our compounding practice: We purchased a building. We remodeled several times. We doubled our space twice—adding an upstairs, a bigger lab, and a conference room. We formally adopted the name Wellness Health + Pharmacy in 1989—to better reflect our practice and philosophy. And then we shortened that to simply Wellness Pharmacy® just a few years ago.
Wellness entered its third generation of family leadership in 1999. Expansion continued apace—and we doubled our space again in 2002, when we moved to our current location in The Wellness Medical Center.
