Another fun-filled weekend at camp. Thank you Children's Harbor at Lake Martin for inviting us year after year and providing such a beautiful space where our families can make memories and friendships that last a lifetime!

Come join the food trucks, face painting & free fun at the UAB Disability Arts Festival Celebration THIS SATURDAY May 10th at the Alys Stephens Center.
- 12:00pm: Resource fair opens (might find a familiar face or two 😉)
- 1:00pm: Community based performers take the stage. This showcase will feature TWO OF OUR OWN

Registration is now open for the 2025 Songs for Sight Low Vision Support Group Pelham Event. Space is limited so RSVP and get ready to hit the ice! ⛸️

Please read the “About Event” section of the EventBrite page CAREFULLY to ensure each family member is registered correctly so that supplies can be ordered. Also remember to check your family calendars prior to signing-up. Once you RSVP, Songs for Sight becomes responsible for your food, activity and other fees even if you do not attend. We understand unexpected crises arise and only ask that you send us a message as soon as possible so we are not waiting for you to arrive. Our organization has been blessed with the ability to provide these events free of charge & hope to continue making them financially accessible to all.

Congratulations Dr. DeCarlo on this well-deserved designation!

CONGRATULATIONS to our very own CEO, Dawn K. DeCarlo, OD, PhD! She has been chosen as a 2024 ARVO Silver Fellow!

The title of ARVO Fellow is an honor established to recognize current members for their individual accomplishments, leadership and contributions to the Association. Fellows serve as role models and mentors for individuals pursuing careers in vision and ophthalmology research.

Dr. DeCarlo's official induction will take place in May.

We’ve just been notified that Red Mountain Theater has had 20 tickets graciously donated for us to attend their 🎄Holiday Spectacular Show 🎅🏻THIS SATURDAY (12/9) starting at 7:30pm. We understand it is very short notice but if you would like to attend please comment or contact the clinic to let us know how many tickets you will need. Final headcount will be reported at 9:00am Friday morning and tickets are limited so DON’T DELAY!
