Transgender Day of Remembrance 2025
Today, we observe Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day dedicated to honoring the memory of transgender and gender-diverse individuals whose lives were lost to acts of anti-transgender violence. This annual observance is a solemn reminder of the challenges many continue to face, as well as a call to foster greater understanding, safety, and respect for all members of the transgender community.
As we reflect on 2025’s significance, we recognize the courage, resilience, and contributions of transgender people around the world. TDOR encourages us to acknowledge the impact of discrimination and violence, while also reaffirming our commitment to creating inclusive environments where everyone can live authentically and without fear.
Let this day strengthen our resolve to listen, learn, and support efforts that advance dignity, equity, and well-being for all.
