Due to inclement weather forecasts the UAB Community Counseling Clinic will be closed Monday, Jan 26th. We plan to reopen Tuesday, Jan 27th at 10am if weather permits.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to highlight the importance of mental well-being and to remind one another that no one is alone in their struggles. Our Community Counseling Clinic is such an important tool for our school, students, faculty, staff, community, and more! We believe mental health is just as important as physical health, and we are committed to fostering a supportive and affordable environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
This year, we are proud to announce that we’re launching a Mental Health Awareness Campaign to raise funds for our Community Counseling Clinic. Every dollar raised will go directly toward providing critical resources and support to those who need it most.
How You Can Help:

We had the opportunity to present at the US Army Reserve Deployment Support Command (DSC). We shared insights into functional depression and its manifestations and treatments. We also spoke about the clinic and the services offered here to increase access to mental health care for service members and military families and communities
