By placing caring adults in the lives of kids who are seeking answers to life's difficult questions, Young Life has created a legacy of changing lives forever. We believe that in order to reach kids we must go where they go and enter their world. Every week, in all 50 states and in more than 90 countries, Young Life staff and volunteers can be found at baseball games and track meets and at kids' favorite hangouts. In many cases, they are the only adult friends kids have in their lives. For more than 60 years, Young Life has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to kids. Our outstanding staff and volunteer leaders enter the world of kids, seeking fun, adventure, friendship, community and a sense of significance...earning the privilege of talking with them about the truth of God and His love for them. Our vision is for every kid, of every race, background and context, privileged or impoverished, from the city to the suburbs to the country/rural parts of our Region. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are out there in the world of kids, inviting them in all that we do, witnessing changed lives as kids meet Christ, walking with them as they grow. This is incarnation and relational ministry as it was modeled for us in the Bible. This is Young Life. Our staff, leaders and local committees are called to reach every kind of kid, in both our existing Young Life areas and to new areas, so that more middle school, high school and college students will follow Christ. To that end, we will: pursue and demonstrate excellence at all levels of our ministry; operate in financial health; develop and sustain better ministry to all kinds of kids; recruit, train, develop and sustain more and better leaders and committee throughout the Region; and grow - in numbers and in depth throughout our existing and strategic/targeted new areas going forward.
