Noah’s Ark Child & Family Treatment Center, Inc. is a Mental Health Agency that providing therapeutic counseling services to both children and adults within the Jefferson, Shelby, and Blount county areas of Birmingham, Alabama. provides services intended to stabilize the living arrangement, promote reunification, and prevent the utilization of out-of-home placement for clients. Our services are delivered primarily to adults and children within their homes, with their families, within the community and at the agency. Services provided will focus on the following:
1. Diffusing the current crisis, evaluate its nature and intervene to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence.
2. Ensuring the linkage to needed community services and resources;
3. Ensuring the clinical appropriateness of services provided; and
4. Improving the client's ability to care for self, as well as the parent’s or legal guardian’s capacity to care for a consumer. Noah’s Ark Child & Family Treatment Center policies and practices encourages the input, involvement, and impact from clients, their families, advocates, businesses and community representatives. The client has an active participation in the design process and participation. The goals and individualized service plans are reviewed on a regular basis and modified to address needs, circumstances, and responses of the client. The selection process for acquiring patients is originated through referrals from the Department of Adult Protective Services, Department of Justice, Transitional Housing, self-referrals, hospitals, local schools and the community. Our primary purpose is to provide community outreach services that will address and minimize extremely dysfunctional behaviors displayed by adults and children; Focusing on providing support and guidance to consumers and their families, to eliminate their risk for out -of-home placement.
