💚 Celebrating our Clinical Graduate Interns 💛
We definitely could not forget about our Clinical Graduate Interns!!
Each day, they support students as they navigate life stressors—creating space for healing, growth, and connection.
From launching Connection Circle—a space for students seeking community and belonging—to facilitating weekly workshops at SCS, their work extends far beyond individual sessions and into building a stronger, more connected campus.
Thank you for the compassion, skill, and intention you bring to this work. Each of you are making a meaningful difference.

💚 Good work deserves to be celebrated! 💛
We couldn’t close out National Student Employment Week without celebrating our incredible students who bring mental health promotion to life across campus!
From planning impactful tablings and events to creating safe, supportive spaces for their peers, your dedication does not go unnoticed.
The professional staff at SCS are grateful for the care, creativity, and intention our student staff bring to this work—it truly matters and makes a difference!

Mental health counseling is a unique relationship in which a therapist walks beside you, listens to your story without judgement, and offers tailored support.
Sometimes counseling may be short. It may help you to learn concrete skills to improve relationships, reduce stress, increase productivity or to improve other symptoms that have a negative impact on your life. Counseling can also give support during a challenging transition or life event. Sometimes counseling is longer term, and we may work together to improve a specific disorder, trauma, or targeted area in your life.
Whatever reason you have to seek counseling, we are here for you, UAB students!
UAB Student Counseling Services offers students of all backgrounds, races, religious beliefs, sexual orientations, gender identities, abilities, ethnicities, and cultures a safe place to discuss and resolve issues that interfere with personal and academic goals.
Our direct support to students includes individual, couple, and group counseling options, as well as prevention and outreach services, crisis and emergency support, and consultation services. Last year, over 6,000 UAB students utilized counseling on campus.
