Coffee with the Doulas is a free event open to the community to connect with local Doulas and resources for pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. Feel free to come with questions or a friend!

Over the past 10 years of training, Coach Kayla T has found her passion in working with women- helping them move better, gain confidence and strength, and live more fulfilling and less frustrating lives. She loves to help moms of all ages and stages gain confidence to move and live better.

Coach Kayla believes exercise can be simple yet challenging, uplifting, and progressive in a way that is sustainable. Experience can shape a person and philosophy.

Her story of pregnancy loss, overcoming perfectionism, and becoming a mom strengthened her passion to empower women to do hard things, but start with the simple basics first. The journey isn’t a straight line, and she is here to be a friend on your fitness journey.

Yes it's true! Pitocin and Oxytocin are not the same! Pitocin is often offered to induce labor or make labor go faster. Know the facts and make informed decisions!

❤️Oxytocin: Commonly known as the "love hormone" which is integral during the birthing process as it creates contractions in the uterus to create dilation.
+Crosses the blood brain barrier, which then allows for beta-endorphins to be released (natural pain reliever!)
+Causes spontaneous, natural contractions, which allow for gradual labor progression
+Naturally regulated by the body based on need

💉Pitocin: A synthetic form of oxytocin, used medically to induce or augment labor and control postpartum bleeding.
-Does not cross the blood brain barrier, so do not experience natural beta-endorphin rush (one of the reasons many people say Pitocin contracts are more painful than natural contractions)
-Can cause stronger, more frequent contractions, sometimes leading to increased pain and stress on the baby.
-May increase the risk of hyperstimulation, fetal distress, uterine rupture, and other complications.

DM me about taking Lamaze on 2-14-26 and 2-15-26 to arm yourself with knowledge in order to have an empowering birth experience!

Here's 2025 for Meadowlark Birth in a nutshell, which has been my busiest year yet!

It is an honor to serve so many families and be trusted with walking alongside them on this journey.

I've been pretty quiet on the socials lately because I have been busy with Body Ready Method training since October. Weekly, I am doing two hour zoom calls, reading, watching videos, and taking a quiz to test my knowledge. Body Ready Method focuses on helping women find balance in their body prenatally so they can have more comfortable pregnancies and more easeful and efficient births. I will be completing this training in the spring and am looking forward to seeing how I can offer this information for our community at large. Stay tuned!

It would be very rare for someone to say they regretted hiring a doula to support their birth. Invest in your birth, your team, your experience, you are worth it! Each birth is a once in a lifetime experience and deserves to be treated as such!
