We will be switching to Winter Hours for our Coffee House today! We will open the Coffee House at 9:00 pm this evening and we will stay open until 7:00 am. These hours will be in effect through the winter!

Re-Entry Meal and Support will be next week Thursday, November 6th, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church!

There will be a home-cooked meal with a chance to visit and connect with others in re-entry or affected by the re-entry process! Reentry Supper Speaker: Colby Braun - Colby Braun was appointed director of the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation by Governor Kelly Armstrong. Braun has served as the director of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation since January 2024. Braun had served as the agency's director of facility operation since August 2018.

He previously served for nearly five years as warden of the North Dakota State Penitentiary, four years as DOCR’s warden of transitional facilities and six years as warden of the Dakota Women’s Correctional and Rehabilitation Center.

As the warden, Braun focused on prisoner re-entry, restrictive housing reform, and incorporating more human principles in the North Dakota prison system. Braun was awarded the Charles Colson Advocate of Hope Award by Prison Fellowship in 2024, which recognizes individuals who have faithfully and courageously worked to restore those affected by incarceration.

The Dream Center Bismarck is hosting a Children’s Coat Drive to prepare for our November 6th Block Party, and we’re collecting new winter gear for kids right here in our community.

New coats (toddler to teen sizes)
New mittens, gloves, and hats
New boots and snow pants

Every donation helps a child stay warm, feel cared for, and know they belong to a community that looks out for one another. ❤️

Together, we can make sure every child faces the winter with warmth and joy.
