August 1st marked the beginning of World Breastfeeding Week and National Breastfeeding Month… a time where we celebrate all things breastfeeding.

Nurturing Wellness Pediatrics is looking for a caring, dedicated nurse (RN/LPN) to be responsible for the clinical care and coordination of care of the children and families of our practice. At Nurturing Wellness Pediatrics, we have been purposeful about creating a healing environment for our patients as well as our employees and staff. We are looking for a RN/LPN who values the importance of maintaining a strong, positive work culture and healthy work environment. Kindness, compassion, and caring in general, and specifically towards children and families, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to the performance of this job. Reminder to join Nurturing Wellness Pediatrics on December 13th from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM for a Holiday Open House! Guests can meet and get their photo taken with Santa, write their Christmas wish list and make a special ornament. We also have an Angel Tree at our clinic with items for local children in need. Happy Thanksgiving! At Nurturing Wellness Pediatrics we are so thankful for our amazing community! We loved having the opportunity to give back to our community this past week by volunteering with Heaven's Helpers! We hope everyone has a fun and safe Thanksgiving weekend!

Happy Halloween from Nurturing Wellness Pediatrics! We wish everyone a safe and FUN evening and wanted to share some tips to make sure little ones are extra safe. Check out a few tips below:

* Tell children not to accept – and especially not to eat – anything that isn’t commercially wrapped. Inspect commercially wrapped treats for signs of tampering, such as an unusual appearance or discoloration, tiny pinholes, or tears in wrappers. Throw away anything that looks suspicious.

* If your child has a food allergy, check the label to ensure the allergen isn’t present. Do not allow the child to eat any home-baked goods he or she may have received.

* If you have very young children, be sure to remove any choking hazards such as gum, peanuts, hard candies, or small toys.
