Join H.E.A.R.T. on March 31 to hear from Bri, the director of Heartview's Opioid Treatment Program, about the science behind addiction and how medication can be a tool in recovery. H.E.A.R.T. meets every other Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., at 101 E Broadway Ave, Bismarck.

Next Tuesday at H.E.A.R.T., our family program will be discussing the story of Lois Wilson, who played a powerful role in the creation of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon. While her husband Bill founded AA, Lois was a steady source of support and resilience, and her experiences led her to later form Al-Anon. Her story reminds us how families can play a role in their loved one's recovery and how their healing is also important. Join us at 101 E Broadway Ave, Bismarck, 6-8 p.m. All are welcome.

The H.E.A.R.T. Family Program is free and open to anyone who has a loved one struggling with addiction. You do not need to have a connection to Heartview to attend, and registration is not required.

Join us Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 6 p.m. to hear from the Bismarck Street Outreach Team about their work connecting homeless individuals to treatment and care. All are welcome to join us at 101 E Broadway Ave, Bismarck. The program is free for anyone with a family member or loved one with an addiction and registration is not required.

Supporting a loved one in recovery starts with how we communicate. The HEART Family Program will meet Tuesday, Jan. 20, 6-8 p.m. to discuss practical tools to help families set boundaries, reduce conflict, and have more productive conversations.

As we step into a new year, many families are hoping for change, such as setting healthier boundaries or supporting a loved one’s resolution to find sobriety.

H.E.A.R.T.'s next session is Tuesday, January 6 and we hope to see you there. All are welcome, whether your loved one is in the depths of addiction, in treatment (at Heartview or elsewhere) or in recovery.
