Did you know Parkinson’s disease affects more than movement?
Up to 60% of people with Parkinson’s experience vision changes, including dry eyes, double vision or alignment problems, blurry or fluctuating vision, and difficulty with contrast, color or depth. These changes happen because Parkinson’s impacts eye movement control and the brain’s ability to process visual information. 👁️
The good news? Most symptoms are manageable with the right care like artificial tears, task-specific glasses, improved lighting, hydration, good sleep, and regular eye exams. Staying aware of these changes can help reduce falls, improve reading and driving safety, and protect independence.
✨ Early eye care = better comfort, safety & quality of life.
If you or a loved one is navigating Parkinson’s, don’t forget to give your vision the attention it deserves. 👓
