Detectives have a sketch of the attempted kidnapping suspect.

If you recognize this man please call the Sheriff’s Department or make a tip to Crime Stoppers.

Incident Details:

At around 6:00 am on March 30th this suspect placed sandbags and a box in the roadway of 420th St S and Harts Valley Rd in Roy. A woman was driving on 420th St S with her 11 year old son. When she stopped to move the items out of the roadway this suspect placed a burlap bag over her head and bear hugged her. The woman was able to fight him off, went home and called 911.

Rodeo family prayers for three generations of the Hupp family, who suffered heartbreaking loss Wednesday, May 24 when a house explosion near Fort Pierre, South Dakota took the lives of grandparents Bill and LaDonna Hupp, and their precious baby granddaughter, Harper.

Grandpa Bill was 66, Grandma LaDonna was 61 and baby Harper, who was the daughter of Bill and LaDonna’s son, Trevor, and his wife, Kelsey, was 6 months old. Harper’s big brothers, Myles, 5 and Royce, 3, were airlifted to a burn unit in Minnesota with severe burns.

The devastated parents of these three beautiful babies were at work—Trevor works at a local bank, and Kelsey’s a nurse practitioner—when their dream home exploded.

Financial, food and clothing donations to help this beloved, renowned South Dakota rodeo family during this unthinkably sad time are being accepted locally at First Dakota National Bank, where Trevor Hupp works. A gofundme https://gofund.me/207ecbdd also has been set up to help the Hupps.
