Since 1988, communities have stood together on World AIDS Day to show strength and solidarity against HIV stigma and to remember lives lost. World AIDS Day exists to shine a light on the real experiences of people living with HIV today, while celebrating the strength, resilience and diversity of the communities most affected.

It’s National Nurse Practitioner Week! Meet Elizabeth Poor 👩🏼‍⚕️
Elizabeth graduated from VT in 2006 with a B.S. in Biology. She later completed her AD in nursing in 2013 from New River Community college. She spent 8 years working inpatient medical/surgical nursing, care coordination/patient education of chronic disease, and care coordination in skilled nursing facility transitions. Elizabeth became an AANP board certified FNP in 2020 after completing her master’s in nursing from Walden University. She has practiced locally in a family medicine setting. A proud Hokie alumna and Christiansburg native, Elizabeth looks forward to serving her fellow Hokies.

Tracy is a Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her degrees from Virginia Tech and Radford University. She is certified in family practice and is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families across all stages of life. She graduated from Hebei Medical University in 1982 with a degree in medical science and later earned a degree in nursing science and a master’s degree as a family-certified nurse practitioner from Radford University. Jianfeng has more than 36 years of inpatient and outpatient clinical experience working with patients of all ages. She is fluent in both Mandarin and English and is ready to help with all your health care needs!

Crystal is a Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated from the University of Virginia in 2013. She has a special interest in young adult health, mental wellness, and preventative care. She is actively involved in her church community at CSUMC in Roanoke. She enjoys hiking, participating in book club, and hosting game nights for family and friends. She looks forward to supporting you in your health and wellness journey.
