Warm Hearth Village is launching a monthly rotating art exhibit at The Village Center — and we’re inviting residents, staff, and community artists to participate!

Each month will feature a new theme, with opportunities for solo or collaborative exhibits. Selected three-dimensional pieces may also be displayed.

All Aboard The Hearth Express! 🚇

Today from 10 AM – 2 PM, Tall Oaks Hall was completely transformed into a bustling miniature train station thanks to the incredible New River Valley Modular Train Club 🚂

What a day!

From flickering streetlights and tiny detailed storefronts to trains passing each other with perfectly timed horns, every inch of the display was thoughtfully designed. You could hear the sounds of the railway mixed with something even better — children’s laughter and families enjoying the experience together.

It truly felt like stepping into a world of miniature railroading. This free, all-ages event brought generations together for hands-on fun, curiosity, and shared moments.

We are so grateful to everyone who came out to support the show and to the New River Valley Modular Train Club for bringing such an intricate and joy-filled experience to our campus.

Events like this remind us how special it is when community comes together. ❤️

In “To Improve Virginia’s Nursing Home Outcomes, Look to Not-for-Profits,” William shares why not-for-profit nursing homes are uniquely positioned to advance quality, accountability, and better outcomes for older Virginians. Rooted in mission, these providers reinvest in people, care, and communities, helping strengthen trust and transparency in long-term care.

This perspective is especially important as Virginia policymakers and the public consider how best to strengthen nursing home quality and rebuild trust in long-term care. We’re grateful for William’s leadership and for lending his voice to an issue that matters deeply

Last week, some members of our Operations team and Board traveled to Pennsylvania to visit two retirement communities, and it was an incredibly valuable and inspiring experience.

Seeing these communities firsthand gave us the opportunity to explore thoughtful design, innovative programs, and new approaches to enhancing resident life. It sparked meaningful conversations and fresh ideas, and reinforced our commitment to continual growth and excellence.

We returned inspired, energized, and excited about what’s ahead. Experiences like this help shape our vision as we continue to evolve our campus and create exceptional opportunities and environments for those who call our community home.

We look forward to what comes next.
