The rhomboid muscles are muscles of the upper back and connect the shoulder blades (scapulae) to the spine. One of their actions is to pull the shoulders back and to the spine. We often find triggerpoints at the rhomboids due to the constant reaching forward (using phones, computers, driving, etc.) They typically refer pain around the shoulder blades, near the spine and sometimes in the neck and arm. Help out your rhomboids and squeeze those shoulder blades together!
