We have energy centers in our spiritual bodies called chakras. When they are out of line it affects your entire body. Reiki energy helps realign and open your chakras and align your Meridians. Chakras are seven energy centers in the body. Meridians are pathways in the body along which vital energies are said to flow. There are 12 such pathways associated with specific organs. For those of you hearing about Reiki for the first time here's a little information on it. Reiki is a form of energy healing originating in Japan. I studied and have been certified in Usui/Holy Fire Reiki III. This energy healing is a form of alternative therapy, a technique that the practitioner working on you uses. "Universal energy" is said to be channeled through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. When studying to certify, first there is Reiki I, sending the healing energy. The next step is Reiki II, which works on emotional energy. Then Reiki III is the master level, in which the practitioner is given symbols to increase the Reiki energy. (Classes coming soon.) Holy Fire Reiki is fairly new to the United States. It's one of the newest forms known. It comes from a higher level of consciousness and works a bit differently than traditional Reiki. Many people do not understand that Reiki practitioners or practitioners of any healing work can still get sick be or injured as we are still in a human body. You'll find yourself in a very relaxing atmosphere with quiet music playing in the background. In the room in my home where my work is practiced, you'll step into the Native American motif decor. The energy that you may feel should put you at ease. As you lay on the table, you will feel the warmth of the amethyst-filled mat. The second room is one that I created. Weather permitting, it can be used during the spring, summer, and early fall. If you decide to choose that room, it's located on the covered deck outside of the Native American room.
