9/11 is a day to never forget, a tragic moment in history. We remember every life that was lost and we honor every person that responded that day. The Anderson and Harris Home School group come by today to help remember, learn about, and honor the sacrifices that were made. They read to us the note that showed their appreciation for first responders and all that they do.
We are so appreciative of them stopping by on such a significant day in history.

We want to give a HUGE thank you to Grub-ba-que! Halfway Cafe, and The Ledfords for donating these beautiful dishes for a wonderful Labor Day meal! We have such a wonderful community! Did you know September is Hunger Awareness Month?

Did you also know that before the coronavirus pandemic, more than 35 million people faced hunger in the United States, including more than 10 million children. Since the coronavirus pandemic started it has left millions of families without stable employment. More than 42 million people, including 13 million children, may experience food insecurity. (Facts from Feeding America)

Union General EMS has partnered with Airlife 14 to start a donation box for canned goods for the community!

This is a great way to help your community and your fellow neighbors out!

We haven’t set a goal of total donations, so comment below and let us know how many total cans you think our goal should be!

If you would like to make donations drop them by at the EMS station located behind Union General Hospital at 94 Weaver RD. There will be a black box on the front porch for you to drop your donations in. There will also be a bottle of hand sanitizer available to sanitize your hands. We will also sanitize the handles frequently. Please remember this is for canned foods! A list of the most requested items from the Georgia food bank website is in the pictures below!

Please keep in mind that we are NOT allowing visitors in the station due to Covid!
