I have finally entered the world of podcasts... yes, I am late to the party. I found a slow flowers podcast and this interview clung to my spirit. Live in the now, enjoy the beauty around you, right now and cherish it. Find beauty in everyday spaces. I often get discouraged when my flowers or veggies don't last quite as long as I would hope and I forget about the initial joy and peace they gave me upon harvesting and the pleasure and the smile they brought to another. We need to share and savor those moments and remember how special and unique these living things are.... RIGHT NOW! Enjoy this crisp weekend and take a moment to share beauty with those around you.

Hey y’all! Sorry we have been MIA the farm is still going, just getting through this super heat. We’ve also had some very fast changes as I got a full time job again at the elementary and high school! So lots of adjusting is happening. Don’t worry, we will have flowers and produce once we snap out of 100 degree days! Even with consistent water our plants are stressed and need some love! Hope everyone had a great first days of school, I know we did!

This weekend we rescued a hummingbird that the cat caught! I actually got to hold her and feel her sweet wings flutter in my hands, it was incredible. We have her food and a safe place to regain her energy and set her free. She visited us today to say thank you. ❤️ We planted our first round of zinnias, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash and more! Started building a greenhouse for the aquaponics phase 1. And someone pulled out the hot rod for a bath before the Lonestar Roundup this coming weekend! How was your weekend?

Ranunculus are starting to pop! I’m in love! These flowers are so whimsical, my favorites have the crazy stems and loads of layers. We planted about 100 corms in the fall and next year I think I’ll double that, I couldn’t be more thrilled with these beauties!
