Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy is simply amazing! I am Blessed to help children and adults through this process and I praise God for using me. Below are the before and after symptoms of a 7 year old male. He was a wonderful patient and his hard work really paid off!

My 9 year old son recently completed 9 months of myofunctional therapy with Stina. The main issues that he needed help with were mouth breathing, snoring, a small tongue tie, and crowded teeth. Stina was great to work with! She customized a treatment plan that worked with our schedule. She was kind and helpful any time we ran into issues. She even gave us alternative exercises we could do when my son had difficulty. She would check on us between sessions and encourage us along the way. It's amazing to see the results my son had! He now sleeps with his mouth closed, no more snoring, and an increased range of motion with his mouth. As a bonus, we have noticed less colds, illnesses, and strep. He also used the Vivos appliance in conjunction with the myofunctional therapy. His teeth are starting to go into place and hopefully this will eliminate the need for braces. ✨✨Patient testimonial; 59 year old female✨✨

The exercises and education that Stina provided was so helpful. I had problems w tmj disfunction and clenching during the day and night (which didn’t help the tmj at all.) I learned about proper tongue placement and completed the exercises each week as instructed and within the first few weeks of treatment my bite felt better ( my bite had felt crooked prior) and I had less discomfort ( prior to therapy I had a numb type feeling on the left side and lower left side of my face) with that numb feeling eventually dissipating over time. Along the way and through some of the more challenging exercises we realized I had weakened muscles toward the back of my throat ( as in the ones that help you swallow) and so I was able to concentrate on that as well.
One of the also great things about the program is that the tools and exercises you learn can help you for the rest of your life; all you need to do is spend a little time throughout your day to be mindful and deliberate in the way you breath chew swallow and place you tongue and practice your exercises and you can have long term improvements. My son just completed myofuctional therapy with Stina to address some sleep issues. We had a great experience working with Stina. She was so kind and patient with him, and worked with him to strengthen the muscles in his tongue and mouth in order to encourage healthier breathing. The improvements in his range of motion are remarkable. We no longer observe any snoring while my son is asleep, which is a good indicator that his quality of sleep has improved. We drove from Tennessee for our appointments, and it was well worth it. I would highly recommended reaching out to Stina regarding any conditions that could be improved with myofunctional therapy - there are many.
