Attention clients and caregivers, I regret to inform that the Humana payment will not be processed as anticipated. According to their update yesterday, the payment is scheduled for next week. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We have now established contracts with: United Healthcare, Aetna, Molina, and are currently finalizing a contract with Meridian. Clients and caregivers with these insurance providers who have outstanding payments will receive back payments dating back to January 2026. For DHS clients without authorization for March, I am following up today on the necessary requirements for authorization. Thank you for your understanding, and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

To resolve payment issues for Personal Care Services (PCS) provided to our clients enrolled in MI Coordinated Health, please reach out to the HIDE SNP health plan with which you are enrolled. Please confirm our agency's involvement and provide me with your service agent name for credentialing purposes, as noted in the MDHHS notice below.

Clients that are now enrolled in the Michigan Coordinated Health Plan (MICH) will have a delay in January payments. The health plans are behind and working to get Agency contracted. The MICH plans that I have clients with are:
United Health Care (contract in 2 weeks)
Humana (contracted and payments expected in 14 days)
Aetna (awaiting contract)

If you are enrolled or will be enrolling in a MICH plan let me know ASAP, DHS will no longer be paying for you services, your new health plan will.

The MI Coordinated Health (MICH) is a Highly Integrated Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (HIDE-SNP) for Michigan residents with the goal to provide seamless access to high-quality care through coordination of services traditionally covered separately by Medicare and Medicaid. It offers a broad range of medical and behavioral health services, pharmacy, home and community-based services, and nursing home care—all in a single program designed to meet individual needs.

Beneficiaries enrolled in MI Coordinated Health must work directly with their assigned health plan for any enrollment or disenrollment requests. Alternatively, beneficiaries may contact 1-800-MEDICARE to discuss disenrollment options or alternative enrollment options.

Providers with questions related to services covered or beneficiary enrollment concerns, should contact the Managed Care Organization (HIDE-SNP) on file for the date of service MICH Contact List for Provider Contracting.

Payday is the last Monday of the month (dates with an asterisk *).
Payments that are authorized for payment early will be covered and paid the 2nd or 3rd Monday of the month.

FYI: No payments can/will be processed without hospital stay being reported with in 10 days of the event or caregiver not clocking in, no exceptions. (Clocking in does not apply to Live-in Caregivers)
